Convivial Spaces

Where the estate gathers.

Experience Greece in unparalleled style and comfort. Stone Castle Villa: Where every moment is a masterpiece.

Three stone houses stand around one pool courtyard, fifty metres (about 165 feet) above the sea, and between them lie the rooms everyone shares: the pool with its panoramic sea view, the arched veranda with its teak furniture, the covered BBQ, and balconies and yards for sun or shade.

Pool & Veranda

Mornings by the water.

Stone arches of the covered veranda framing the pool terrace and the open sea, the teak dining table set under the timber roof
THE COVERED VERANDA

The covered veranda

Stone arches frame the pool below and the open Aegean beyond, while the timber roof keeps the teak table and seats in shade through the hottest hours. It is the sitting room of the estate, with the sea for a fourth wall.

The private pool in the courtyard, edged in brick, with the stone facade of the wing behind and the bay stretching away beyond the railing
THE POOL COURT, ABOVE THE BAY

The pool, above the bay

The private pool holds a panoramic view of the bay and the open Aegean from every corner of its court. A lift runs from street level straight to the pool area, so arrival is effortless.

Two director's chairs on a railed terrace at the pool's edge, high above the sea, with hills across the bay in the haze

Fabulous villa, and a great host… two brilliantly equipped kitchens.

The BBQ & the Long Table

Noon, at the grill.

The covered BBQ in whitewashed masonry: charcoal grill and chimney, its own sink and tap, tiled counters and arched timber cupboards, roses climbing the wall beside it
THE COVERED BBQ · GRILL & SPIT

The covered BBQ

Built in whitewashed masonry under its own roof: a charcoal grill and spit, an outdoor sink with its own tap, and arched timber cupboards for the tools. Dinner for seventeen starts here.

The bamboo-shaded pergola over the long timber dining table and benches, the bay visible past the stone wall
THE LONG TABLE, IN BAMBOO SHADE

Shaded dining, above the bay

Beside the grill, a bamboo-shaded pergola covers the long timber table and its benches, looking over the stone wall to the water, dining in the shade, with the view kept on.

Slow Hours

Sun on one side, shade on the other.

Around the courtyard, balconies and yards face every direction, sun all day on one side, deep shade on the other, so there is always a right place for the hour.

Two teak armchairs with navy-striped cushions at the pool's edge, a tray of fruit and drinks on the low table between them

By Night

The lanterns take over.

The day ends where it began, in the courtyard.

When the grill cools, lanterns are lit around the pool and the lights of the bay come on across the dark water. The last hour of the evening belongs to the courtyard.
